I still remember the hype when Luocha first showed up in Honkai: Star Rail. Back then, in Version 1.1, everyone was losing their minds over a 5-star Abundance healer who could cleanse, heal, and look like he just walked out of a gothic romance novel. Now it's 2026, and Luocha is no longer the shiny new toy. But here's the thing: reruns exist, new players keep joining, and his ascension materials are still the same. So if you just pulled him or you're finally building him, this is the casual, first-person guide I wish I had when I was drowning in Artifex parts.

Luocha Ascension Materials: The Full Shopping List

To take Luocha from Level 1 to Level 80, you need a mix of Artifex drops, Golden Crowns, and a fat stack of Credits. No cap, the Credit cost is the sneaky part. Here's the breakdown I keep on my second monitor.

Level Range Materials Credits
20 to 30 5x Artifex's Module 4,000
30 to 40 10x Artifex's Module 8,000
40 to 50 6x Artifex's Gyreheart, 3x Golden Crown of the Past Shadow 16,000
50 to 60 9x Artifex's Gyreheart, 7x Golden Crown of the Past Shadow 40,000
60 to 70 6x Artifex's Cogwheel, 20x Golden Crown of the Past Shadow 80,000
70 to 80 9x Artifex's Cogwheel, 35x Golden Crown of the Past Shadow 160,000

Total for ascension: 15x Artifex's Module, 15x Artifex's Gyreheart, 15x Artifex's Cogwheel, 65x Golden Crown of the Past Shadow, and 308,000 Credits. That's before you even think about character EXP, traces, or light cones. Ouch.

Where I Farm Artifex's Module, Gyreheart, and Cogwheel

These three Artifex materials are a family. You can get the lower-tier Module and then upgrade it into Gyreheart and Cogwheel, or you can farm the higher tiers directly. My usual routine is simple: beat up robots, run Simulated Universe, and let assignments do the boring work.

Here are the methods that actually work in 2026:

  • Defeat Entranced Ingenia. These enemies are made by the Artisanship Commission, and they show up all over the Xianzhou Luofu. They often look like robot fish or robot toads. You can track them on your map, which is a lifesaver when you need just a few more Modules.

  • Simulated Universe enemies. Head to Herta's Space Station and run Simulated Universe. The enemies inside can drop Artifex materials, and you're probably farming relics anyway.

  • Assignments. Open your phone and check the Assignments tab. The mission called Fire Lord Inflames Blades of War sends two characters out for 4 to 20 hours and brings back Artifex's Modules. It's free loot while you sleep. Set it and forget it.

  • Embers Exchange. In the official store on your phone, you can buy up to 40 Artifex's Modules for 4 Undying Embers each. I always grab these when I'm short.

  • Omni-Synthesizer. This is the magic box. You can exchange other materials into Artifex's Modules, or upgrade Modules into Gyrehearts and Cogwheels. It saves so much Trailblaze Power when you're in a pinch.

Golden Crown of the Past Shadow: My Go-To Route

Golden Crown of the Past Shadow is the 4-star ascension material that makes Luocha's shopping list hurt. You only have two real options: farm it or synthesize it.

  • Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Mirage. This is in the Backwater Pass region of Jarilo-VI. You need 30 Trailblaze Power per run, and you'll fight Decaying Shadow and Imaginary Weaver. It's not the hardest fight in the game, but bring a decent team so you don't waste fuel.

  • Omni-Synthesizer. If you have spare character ascension materials, you can exchange them for Golden Crowns. I do this when I'm a few short and don't want to burn another 30 Trailblaze Power.

Credits: The Silent Killer

Credits are the universal currency in Honkai: Star Rail, and Luocha needs 308,000 of them just for ascension. That sounds like a lot until you remember that traces and light cones also eat Credits for breakfast. Here's where I get mine:

  • Missions. Main story, side quests, and events all drop Credits.

  • Treasure chests. Open everything. Yes, even the ones in the corner.

  • Assignments. Same phone tab, different reward.

  • Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures. This is in the Great Mine region of Jarilo-VI. Spend Trailblaze Power here when you're broke.

My 2026 Pre-Farm Routine

If you want to max Luocha without losing your mind, here's the routine I use:

  1. Start with Stagnant Shadow. Run Shape of Mirage until you have 65 Golden Crowns. It feels like a lot, but you'll thank yourself later.

  2. Track Entranced Ingenia. While waiting for Trailblaze Power, hunt robot fish and toads on the Xianzhou Luofu.

  3. Send Assignments. Fire Lord Inflames Blades of War should be running 24/7.

  4. Check Embers Exchange. Buy the 40 Modules if you have Undying Embers.

  5. Use the Omni-Synthesizer. Convert extra materials instead of farming everything from scratch.

  6. Farm Credits last. The Calyx is fast, but it's boring. Put on a podcast and vibe.

Luocha is still a fantastic healer in 2026. He fits into tons of teams, and his auto-heal plus cleanse makes him a comfort pick for Memory of Chaos, Simulated Universe, and basically anywhere your team is getting slapped around. So yeah, the grind is real, but it's worth it. Get those materials, level him up, and let the good doctor carry you.

Now go touch some grass, then come back and farm. 😉
